Teaching Music – From First Notes to the Stage
Francesco Marzano has been teaching flute and music since 2015, guiding students of all ages and levels, from curious beginners picking up the instrument for the first time to advanced players preparing for auditions and competitions. His experience spans renowned music schools in Italy and Germany, including Obiettivo Musica in Milan, Musikschule mut in Bonn, and the Musikschule der Stadt Troisdorf. Whether in private lessons or group settings, he creates a supportive, encouraging environment where each student can develop at their own pace. Drawing on his own journey through international masterclasses with artists such as Sir James Galway and Helen Bledsoe, he knows what it takes to grow as a musician and how to pass that knowledge on.
What makes his approach to teaching unique is his interdisciplinary background as a performing artist and author. Lessons go beyond technique and repertoire: students are invited to explore musical expression, body awareness, and creative thinking – skills that enrich not only their playing but their relationship with music as a whole. Francesco believes that music education should inspire confidence and curiosity in equal measure. By combining solid pedagogical training with the energy and openness of an active concert and stage performer, he turns every lesson into a space for both growth and discovery.
